Presence in Movement
Alone or in relationship, bringing mindful awareness to our bodies and our movement allows us to experience the present moment more fully. Presence in movement emphasizes attention to physical sensations, breath, and emotions that arise, including during everyday activities, as a gateway to knowing ourselves and deeper listening to our internal wisdom.
Movement Inquiries
These short audio recordings include guided inquiries that invite you to notice different sensations and movements of your body as a gateway to being fully present. You can explore these inquiries in silence, in nature, or with your favorite playlist. While the guided inquiries are less than 15 minutes long, you can stay with the inquiry as long as you feel called.
These inquiries are intended to be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability or fitness level. Ultimately, you and your body are your greatest teacher - always listen to your body as you explore these inquiries and do what feels right for you in the current moment. (That, too, is part of being present.)
The recordings posted here are currently offered free of charge for your personal practice.
Periodically the inquiries will change. In the future, a membership option will be available for access to all archived inquiries, access to downloadable recordings (for offline use), as well as early access to new inquiries.
Pausing & Shifting Weight
Often times we overlook the simple, the straightforward in favor of complexity and trends. In this simple inquiry, you are invited to shift weight and pause and notice. This basic inquiry is one of the most profound - it focuses on simple movements leading to greater self-awareness and greater presence.
Echo Inspiration & 5 H’s
In this inquiry we work with the 5 H’s - heels, hips, hands, head, and heart - initiating movement from each of these centers, noticing how movement initiated from one of these places in our body ripples through our whole body. Each inspiration - whether internal or external - is an invitation to create our own, unique movement.
360 Degree Awareness
Cultivating awareness - of ourselves and what is around us - is critical in our fast paced world. In this practice we explore different movements and using our senses to cultivate 360 degree awareness.
