Awakening into Presence :
Honoring Our Past. Honoring Ourself.
In-person Workshop in Ojai, CA
1 November 2025 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This workshop is for anyone who feels the quiet pull toward something more - more presence, more meaning, more connection…
In community, we will allow and follow our breath, inhabit our bodies, discover our sensory world, and explore our inner landscapes.
We will take time to harvest our gifts and the fruits of our labor, honor our ancestors, and honor the paths we’ve walked so far.
We will witness each other and be witnessed.
We will explore what it means to connect to our inner voice and embodied wisdom, while also gently turning toward the world to offer our unique gifts.
Cost : By Donation
Why “By Donation?” Honestly, to get me out of my head about where to host this workshop and how much to charge and move forward, as well as to break legacy paradigms that no longer serve us.
Registration is required. Space is limited to 20 participants.
Location : Wild Qi in Ojai, CA
Coming from outside Ojai? How about a weekend getaway? Ojai is located about 2 hours north of Los Angeles, 30 minutes east of Ventura, and 1 hour south of Santa Barbara. Ojai has many hotels / lodgings, restaurants, shops, hiking trails, preserves, Libbey Park, and other points of interest making it a perfect weekend retreat. The Chantico Inn is a centrally located, boutique-style hotel that was voted the best value in Ojai (and next door to our venue). The Ojai Valley Inn is a resort offering luxurious accommodations, fine dining, spa, and activities. The Hotel El Roblar, a boutique hotel located in downtown Ojai, was recently reopened after and extensive remodel. These are just a few of the options available in the Ojai Valley to accommodate your stay.
Your Facilitator : Cindy Kohlmiller
Cindy is a Los Angeles native, retired aerospace systems engineer (whose hair is now much more grey than in this photo), certified Soul Motion Conscious Dance Teacher and Embodied Leader, certified Freedom Meditation Teacher and Transformational Leader, and life-long learner who currently makes her home in the beautiful Ojai Valley. She comes to this stage of her life with years of experience holding space for others and ready to share the wisdom she has learned / earned. “Our ability to lead a vibrant, authentic life; to identify and take advantage of opportunities; and to respond to challenges - all in alignment with our values - is enhanced when we literally move with a sense of our core self. From this place of presence, we meet the world with a knowing that cultivates transformation, growth, liberation, and pathways of possibility - fully alive, fully present.”
Registration Required
All are welcome and you must be available to stay the entire duration of the workshop.
Registration is limited to 20 participants.
Pay what you can.
Many of us need to be and feel supported from time-to-time. If this is you right now, give yourself the gift of this workshop.
If you are economically secure at this time, I invite you to lean in, notice your bodily sensations around paying, and donate at a level that feels aligned with your current situation and honors both your time and mine. $108 is the suggested donation at this level.
If you are experiencing financial abundance at this time, I invite you to pay what feels generous, rather than contracted, so as to support those who are experiencing financial hardship at this time. Donating at this level is a way to honor your time; recognize the costs of renting space & offering a half-day workshop; and honors the skills & presence I bring to hold space and offer this work.
Thank you to Rev. angel Kyodo Williams and Valerie Chafograck for this economic model.

“Looking behind, I am lifted with gratitude.
Looking forward, I am filled with vision.
Looking upward, I am filled with strength.
Looking within, I discover peace.”
