Cindy is a Los Angeles native, retired aerospace systems engineer, certified Soul Motion Conscious Dance Teacher and Embodied Leader, certified Freedom Meditation Teacher and Transformational Leader, and life-long learner who currently makes her home in the beautiful Ojai Valley. She comes to this stage of her life with years of experience holding space for others and ready to share the wisdom she has learned / earned. “Our ability to lead a vibrant, authentic life; to identify and take advantage of opportunities; and to respond to challenges - all in alignment with our values - is enhanced when we literally move with a sense of our core self. From this place of presence, we meet the world with a knowing that cultivates transformation, growth, liberation, and pathways of possibility - fully alive, fully present.”
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Many of our reactions happen automatically and outside of awareness. This workshop explores how discomfort, assumptions, habits, and certainty can shape our responses without us realizing it. The practice of choice is learning to create just enough space between an experience and our reaction so that we can respond more intentionally.
-
The workshop is conducted live on Zoom and includes a combination of guided experiences, individual reflection, partner or small-group conversations, and full-group discussion. You'll be invited to participate, but you are always free to engage at a level that feels appropriate for you.
-
A quiet space where you can focus, a reliable internet connection, and access to Zoom.
You may also want a journal or notebook for reflection.
Comfortable clothing is recommended, as some exercises include gentle movement and grounding practices.
You can download the Zoom app here - it is painless, fast, and free.
If you have a computer, choose that over a mobile device so you can better view slides, see more of others, and interact better.
If you are in a shared space, use headphones to maintain confidentiality of all participants.
Minimize distractions (doorbell / email / phone / TV) so that you can be as present as possible.
-
The work is experiential, and it is designed to be paced and supported. You will always have choice in how deeply you engage with any exercise. You will also learn practices to self-regulate throughout the workshop.
-
That is a possibility—and often part of the learning process. The workshop is designed to approach self-discovery with curiosity, compassion, and choice rather than judgment. The goal is not to criticize yourself for your patterns, but to understand them more clearly so that you have greater freedom in how you respond.
-
No. This is an experiential workshop focused on self-awareness and practical discernment. It is not clinical or diagnostic in nature, though it may support deeper self-understanding.
-
You will never be required to share anything you don’t want to. Much of the experience is internal and reflective, and participation including all forms of sharing is always optional and self-directed.
-
Yes, though no special fitness level is required. Some exercises involve standing, walking, breathing, or gentle movement designed to support awareness and regulation. You are always encouraged to adapt practices to meet your own needs and abilities.
-
No. The workshop is designed to be accessible whether you are completely new to this kind of exploration or have been engaged in personal growth work for years. The practices focus on noticing your own experience and developing greater choice in how you respond.
-
Because the workshop includes personal reflection and participant interaction, it will not be recorded. This helps create a space where people can engage more openly and fully in the experience.
-
Please do. You are always in choice. Breaks are integrated into the workshop schedule. And, if you need to take a break, attend to personal needs, or modify an exercise, you are welcome to do so. Part of the practice is learning to listen to your own signals and respond accordingly.
-
Not at all. Some participants tend to avoid discomfort, others tend to override themselves. Many are simply looking for a clearer, more grounded relationship with their internal signals.
-
Yes. Please contact Cindy directly at hello@movingtopresence.com if you could benefit from a scholarship.
-
After the workshop, participants will receive structured prompts and group support over four weeks to help integrate what they’ve learned into real-life situations. This is where insight becomes practice.

(NOTE: Many of these same features are available on Zoom for mobile devices; however they will look different / be in different locations.)
Rename Yourself - If you haven’t done so already, please rename yourself and add your preferred pronouns; hover your mouse over your image and click on the three dots in your image window.
Speaker View / Gallery View - You can toggle between the two in the upper right hand corner of your screen to see the difference. Speaker View is recommended when we’re learning together. Gallery View is helpful when we want to see the group and in breakout rooms.
Audio Mute and Unmute - When you are on “mute” it reduces feedback that can occur and background noise for the group. There will be times when you will be asked to “unmute” yourself and share aloud. The hosts can mute and unmute everyone.
Video / Camera On and Off -
You have the ability to turn your camera on and off. Please keep your camera on as it helps build connection. Your presence matters!Chat (via the “speech bubble” icon) - We will be using the chat mindfully, sharing insights. The default is for chat previews to show up at the bottom of your screen. If this is distracting, you can click on “chat settings” and turn off previews. You can open the chat to see what others type, as well as prompts the host shares. You can share with “everyone” in the chat (default) or private message someone. The host will generally not be able to respond to private messages while teaching.
Resize Charts - When the host is sharing slides, Zoom will automatically highlight the slides and the Speaker / Gallery will become smaller. You can resize the slide and people portions of your screen by sliding the white bar left / right to best suit you.
-
WhatsApp provides a simple way for participants to stay connected, receive weekly prompts, share reflections, and support one another as they practice what they learned. Participation in the WhatsApp group is optional.
After the workshop, the host will send you an invitation to join the WhatsApp group along with a link to download the app. WhatsApp works best on mobile devices and is also available for computers.
-
The weekly integration calls will be held on Zoom on Mondays for an hour beginning at 5:30pm Pacific time. The dates for the calls are 7/20/26, 7/27/26, 8/3/26, and 8/10/26. After the workshop, you will receive an email with the link for the calls. Weekly reminders will also be posted in the WhatsApp group.
